MPW – United States vs MPW, Alecto & Olympia

June 21, 2023 – Viceroy have obtained the complaint by the United States against Medical Properties Trust (MPW), Olympia Health Care and Alecto Healthcare. The complaint alleges that Olympia failed to pay its debts to the government while making fraudulent payments to MPW and its parent Alecto healthcare when it was insolvent. The suit also notes that MPW held a substantial interest in Olympia itself, a fact that the company has not disclosed as far as we are able to find and had reasonable cause to believe that Olympia was insolvent.

We note that MPW has failed to inform investors of this complaint which was filed on March 9, 2023.
